Job Overview:
The Sales Team Leader is responsible for managing and motivating a team of sales professionals to meet and exceed sales targets. This role involves leadership, coaching, and ensuring team members' success while maintaining high levels of performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Sales Team Leader will work closely with the Sales Manager and other departments to implement sales strategies, analyze performance, and deliver on organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to ensure growth and skill development.
- Foster a positive, high-performance team culture that encourages collaboration and accountability.
- Hold regular team meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and new sales initiativ.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to define and implement sales strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Set and communicate clear sales targets and performance expectations to the team.
- Ensure the team follows best sales practices and adheres to company policies and processes.
Performance Management:
- Monitor and track the team’s sales performance against set KPIs and targets.
- Address performance gaps and develop action plans for underperforming team members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
Sales Reporting and Analysis:
- Provide regular sales reports and performance data to the Sales Manager or upper management.
- Analyze sales trends, customer feedback, and market insights to identify areas for improvement.
- Adjust strategies based on data-driven insights and industry trends.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Support team members in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Act as an escalation point for complex customer issues or concerns.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and resolving problems promptly.
Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
- Provide feedback from customers and the sales team to help improve products or services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2+years plus of experience in sales process (Team leader role)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving team performance.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions.
