The Sales Support Executive will assist the corporate sales team in preparing and submitting Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to insurance companies based on client-provided data. The role involves compiling underwriting information,tracking quotations, and ensuring timely support to the sales team during the insurance placement process.
Key ResponsibilitiesRFQ Preparation
- Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for various insurance products such as Property, Engineering, Marine, Liability, and Group Health.
- Compile and structure client data, exposure details, and underwriting information into RFQ formats required by insurers.
- Ensure all necessary documents (loss runs, policy copies, asset lists, employee data etc.) are properly attached.
Sales Team Support
- Assist sales executives in analyzing quotations received from insurers.
- Prepare comparison sheets for premiums, terms, deductibles, and coverage.
- Maintain RFQ trackers and quotation status reports.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain proper records of RFQs, quotes, and communications.
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory and company compliance requirements.
- Support the placement team during policy finalization and documentation.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong Excel and data management skills
- Ability to understand insurance underwriting information
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field
Preferred Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in insurance broking, underwriting support, or sales support
- Exposure to the corporate insurance placement process
- Experience handling RFQs or underwriting submissions
