About the Role:
We are looking for a high-energy, execution-focused BDEs/ Sr. BDEs / TSMs to drive growth in the HoReCa (Hotels, Restaurants, Catering) segment. The role will be responsible for expanding market reach, strengthening distributor-led sales, and building strong relationships with chefs, restaurant owners, and key institutional buyers. This is a frontline, market-facing role that requires a deep understanding of food service dynamics, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to drive both primary and secondary sales while ensuring visibility and adoption of our product portfolio.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Sales Execution & Business Development
• Achieve territory-level sales, volume, and revenue targets.
• Drive secondary sales through distributor networks by ensuring product availability and visibility.
• Identify and acquire new HoReCa customers including restaurants, cloud kitchens, cafés, catering companies, and QSR outlets.
• Increase product penetration and usage across existing accounts.
• Execute territory sales plans aligned with regional objectives.
2. Distributor & Channel Management
• Work closely with assigned distributors to drive sales growth and coverage.
• Ensure optimal stock levels, order planning, and timely replenishment.
• Support distributors in expanding their reach within the assigned territory.
• Monitor distributor performance and ensure adherence to pricing and credit norms.
3. Key Account Management (Territory Level)
• Build and maintain relationships with chefs, kitchen staff, procurement teams, and business owners.
• Drive product trials, menu integration, and repeat usage.
• Support onboarding and servicing of local key accounts and chains.
4. Market Execution & Visibility
• Ensure effective in-market execution.
• Conduct regular market visits to monitor product movement and gather insights.
• Execute promotions, sampling activities, and chef engagement initiatives.
5. Market Intelligence & Feedback
• Track competitor activities, pricing, and product trends in the HoReCa segment.
• Gather customer feedback and share insights with internal teams (sales, marketing, product).
• Identify opportunities for new product placements and category expansion.
6. Reporting & Compliance
• Maintain accurate reporting of sales, market visits, and pipeline updates.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and compliance standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing preferred.
Experience: For BDE (1–3 years)
• 1–3 years of experience in FMCG / food service sales
• Strong willingness to learn and work in a field sales role
For Sr. BDE / TSM (3–7 years)
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in HoReCa / food service / FMCG sales
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing distributors
• Strong network within the Bangalore HoReCa ecosystem is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of the HoReCa ecosystem and distributor-led sales model.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High ownership and execution focus
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders (chefs to owners)
• Basic understanding of food products and kitchen operations
• Comfort with field travel and on-ground execution
