ROLE OVERVIEW
The Sales Specialist will be responsible for generating revenue across Courtly’s ecosystem by selling:
- Sponsorship packages for tournaments, leagues, clinics, and events
- Team ownership/franchise opportunities for leagues and competitions
- Advertising inventory across Courtly’s app, website, social media, and media assets
- Brand collaborations and strategic partnerships
- Venue and activation partnerships
- Corporate engagement opportunities
- White-label and B2B opportunities with brands, banks, and institutions
This role requires a strong understanding of sports business, sponsorship sales, relationship management, and brand partnerships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SPONSORSHIPS AND BRAND PARTNERSHIPS
- Identify, approach, and close sponsorship opportunities with brands across categories including lifestyle, fitness, technology, banking, FMCG, apparel, and luxury.
- Develop customized partnership proposals aligned with brand objectives.
- Build long-term relationships with sponsors and agency partners.
- Execute end-to-end sponsorship sales cycles from prospecting to closure.
TEAM & FRANCHISE SALES
- Drive sales for team ownership and franchise opportunities across Courtly leagues and IPs.
- Pitch investment opportunities to business owners, celebrities, athletes, and investors.
- Coordinate with leadership on league structuring and commercial positioning.
ADVERTISING AND PLATFORM REVENUE
- Monetize advertising inventory across Courtly’s:
- App
- Website
- Tournament assets
- Social media
- Event branding
- Create innovative monetization opportunities for partners.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Generate new leads through networking, outbound sales, industry events, and strategic outreach.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and CRM database.
- Identify new revenue streams and strategic partnerships.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2–5 years of experience in sponsorship sales, sports partnerships, media sales, advertising sales, or business development.
- Strong network within brands, agencies, sports, media, or entertainment industries is preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to independently manage high-value conversations and close deals.
- Strong understanding of sports marketing and partnership ecosystems.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
