Job Summary
The Service Engineer is responsible for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment including stabilizers, air compressors, air dryers, chillers, and diesel generator (DG) sets.
The role ensures reliable operation, minimal downtime, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Install and service equipment such as voltage stabilizers, air compressors, dryers, industrial chillers, and gensets
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance at client sites Diagnose faults in electrical, mechanical, and control systems
Handle emergency service calls and ensure quick resolution
Monitor equipment performance and suggest improvements
Maintain service reports, logs, and documentation
Coordinate with spare parts and inventory teams
Provide training to customers/operators on proper usage and safety
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures Support AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) activities
Technical Skills Required Knowledge of: Electrical systems (panels, wiring, transformers, stabilizers) Mechanical systems (compressors, engines, rotating equipment) Refrigeration & cooling systems (chillers, dryers)
Diesel generator systems (engines, alternators)
Understanding of: PLC/control panels (basic level preferred)
Pneumatics and hydraulics
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals
Key Skills Strong troubleshooting ability
Good communication and customer-handling skills
Willingness to travel extensively
Ability to work under pressure and handle breakdowns

Equipment uptime Service response & resolution time
First-time fix rate AMC renewal/support
