The Opportunity
As a Sales & Project Management Professional for Transformer Business, you will be part of Indian Operation Center in India (INOPC), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across market. You will support UAE demand side Team throughout the Sales Process.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Write value added proposals for mainstream transformers and ensure they are captured in current tools. Responsible for all technical, financial (costs and prices) and management aspects of bids/estimates/ proposal.
- Review and comment customer’s specification and requirements and determine appropriate solution for proposal. Identifies potential risks in the bids/estimates/quotations.
- Help with reviewing certain legal aspects – Terms and Conditions of Sales. Communication with Hitachi Energy and external factories for technical and commercial clarifications.
- Present proposed solution to Sales Team (giving final approval – SOX compliance). Support negotiation/clarification during bidding process. Develop and maintain positive relationship with existing and new customers.
- Ensures cross-collaboration within in the Sales team, and actively promotes collaboration with HUB BU. Use of judgment and initiative necessary to identify priorities, solve problems, meet schedule, adapt to change and choose the most efficient ways to do the work.
- Track proposal status and follow-up with customers. Order Handling, Invoicing and order collection. Collecting the order in synergy with the Account Management Team.
- SFDC opportunity capturing. Handling priority deliveries to support customer to meet their target and Order Entry & booking with SAP S4HANA / REIWA system.
- Activities include assisting the sales team with order processing, order acknowledgement, review of orders, order entry, etc. Creation of Purchase requisitions (PR) and Purchase Order (PO).
- Constant tracking & followup with internal and external suppliers. Liaise with freight forwarders with respect to shipments, customs etc.
- Invoicing customers in SAP system and send them to customers / internal sales team. Register and clear the supplier invoices.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering degree. Hands-on 5-10 yrs experience in Transformer / Substation Sales or Tendering with Project Support.
- Understanding of transformer technical specifications. Knowledge in Dry Transformer & Insulation Components of Transformer.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with strong organization and time management.
- Proficient in CRM tools like SAP, Sales force is an advantage. Proven interpersonal abilities with peers, colleagues, superiors, customer, suppliers and service providers.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
