Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position based in Pune for a Sales & Procurement Executive. The role involves managing purchasing processes, handling purchase orders, and ensuring efficient purchase management. The candidate will be responsible for liaising with vendors and clients, identifying procurement needs, analyzing data, managing supplier relationships, and participating in negotiation processes to secure optimal terms. Additionally, this role involves maintaining records, preparing reports, and collaborating with team members to meet organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare new and revised quotations for customers in coordination with sales, procurement, and technical teams.
- Handle customer enquiries received through platforms such as IndiaMART and Escorts Kubota dealer / enquiry systems.
- Make enquiry follow-up calls to understand customer requirements, clarify technical or commercial details, and convert enquiries into orders.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with customers regarding enquiry status, quotation submissions, negotiations, and order confirmation.
- Update all enquiry, quotation, and follow-up details on a daily basis in EKL ESMS as per company process.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for pricing, availability, and delivery timelines to ensure accurate quotations.
- Support the sales team in achieving monthly and annual sales targets through timely follow-ups and documentation.
- Ensure proper record-keeping of enquiries, quotations, and customer communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate / Diploma in Commerce, Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3–5 years of experience in sales coordination, quotation preparation, or procurement support (DG set / industrial products preferred).
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and ERP/CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple enquiries simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Purchasing Processes, Purchase Orders, and Purchase Management
- Strong Analytical Skills for data analysis and decision-making
- Excellent Communication skills for vendor and client interactions
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Understanding of the power generation or rental business is an added advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with procurement software is beneficial
