Role Description
High-performing sales professionals for the Critical Care and Operation Theatre (OT) segment requires a specific blend of clinical knowledge and high-stakes negotiation skills. Since these roles involve life-saving equipment (ventilators, anaesthesia workstations, patient monitors), the "stakeholder relationship" usually extends beyond procurement to include Heads of Departments (HODs), Biomedical Engineers, and Intensivists.
Objective
The primary responsibility is to drive revenue growth by managing high-value capital equipment sales in the Critical Care and Operation Theatre segment. You will be responsible for the end-to-end sales cycle—from identifying leads and conducting clinical trials to final deal closure and post-installation relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal Execution: Identify and close high-ticket sales for anesthesia workstations and ventilators within the assigned territory.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and leverage strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), HODs of Anesthesia/ICU, Biomedical Engineers, and Purchase Managers.
- Territory Strategy: Expand market share in Maharashtra (focusing on Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur) and Gujarat (focusing on Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara).
- Product Demonstrations: Organize and lead technical/clinical demonstrations of OT and Critical Care equipment to medical staff.
- Tender Management: Actively participate in government and private hospital tenders, ensuring all technical and commercial compliance.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activity and pricing strategies in the territory to maintain a competitive edge.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: B.Sc / B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering or MBA in Marketing/Healthcare Management.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years specifically in Capital Equipment (Critical Care/OT). Experience with multinational brands (MNCs) or Tier-1 Indian manufacturers is highly preferred.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed annual sales targets of ₹3Cr - ₹5Cr+ in this specific segment.
- Communication: Fluent in English, Hindi, and regional languages (Marathi/Gujarati) to effectively negotiate with local stakeholders.
- Travel: Willingness to travel 60-70% within the assigned region.
