Role Description The Sales Officer is a full-time hybrid role based in Jammu, with a mix of on-site duties and some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves identifying and approaching potential customers for SBI Home Loans, explaining product features, eligibility criteria, and documentation requirements, and guiding applicants through the end-to-end loan process. The Sales Officer will generate and follow up on leads from multiple channels, including walk-ins, referrals, and partner networks, while maintaining accurate records in the sales systems. Daily tasks include coordinating with internal teams for application processing, ensuring timely updates to customers, and supporting post-sanction services. The role also requires maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, participating in local marketing or outreach activities, and meeting assigned sales and service targets in an ethical and compliant manner.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Communication, with the ability to explain financial products clearly and respond to queries professionally.
- Proven ability in Lead Generation and Sales Operations, including tracking leads, managing pipelines, and using basic sales tools or CRM systems.
- Experience or aptitude in Channel Sales, building and maintaining relationships with partners, agents, or referral networks.
- Basic understanding of retail banking or financial services, preferably in home loans, mortgages, or consumer lending.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in sales.
- Comfort working in a target-driven environment, with strong organizational skills and attention to documentation accuracy.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Jammu, manage time independently, and collaborate effectively with on-site and remote team members.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., spreadsheets, email, presentations); familiarity with loan processing systems is an advantage.
