Job Description – Sales Officer / Asst Manager Sales (FMCG)
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or any related field with 1+ years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in field or territory sales.
· Strong understanding of retail and distribution management.
· Proficiency in MS Office and basic reporting tools.
· The Sales Officer will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing distributor and retailer relationships, and expanding the company’s market presence in the assigned territory.
· The role demands a proactive individual with strong sales acumen, field execution capability, and knowledge of FMCG distribution channels.
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and other channel partners.
· Identify new business opportunities and contribute to expanding market coverage.
· Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper merchandising at retail outlets.
· Implement and monitor sales promotional activities as per company guidelines.
· Regularly visit the market to gather feedback, track competitor activities, and identify improvement opportunities.
· Monitor stock levels, ensure timely order collection, and coordinate with logistics for on-time delivery.
· Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales reports, including performance against targets.
· Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, logistics, and finance to ensure smooth business operations.
· Handle customer queries and provide after-sales support to ensure satisfaction and retention.
