Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Executive to lead the promotion and sales of our bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides and other agricultural input products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in agribusiness sales, strong market knowledge, and the ability to develop dealer networks while providing technical support to farmers and distributors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the assigned territory.
- Develop and expand dealer, distributor, and institutional networks.
- Identify new business opportunities and increase market penetration across existing and new territories.
- Prepare territory-wise sales plans and execute strategies to maximize revenue.
- Manage key customer accounts and build long-term business relationships.
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and sales agreements with distributors and channel partners.
Marketing & Promotion
- Plan and implement marketing campaigns to increase product visibility and sales.
- Conduct farmer meetings, field demonstrations, crop seminars, and dealer training programs.
- Organize promotional activities during crop seasons to maximize product adoption.
- Represent the company at agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry events.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and product literature.
Technical & Agronomic Support
- Provide technical guidance on the use of bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, plant growth promoters, and integrated crop management practices.
- Assist farmers and dealers in selecting suitable products based on crop and pest conditions.
- Address technical queries and resolve customer complaints promptly.
- Monitor product performance through field visits and recommend improvements based on market feedback.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product launches, and market trends.
- Identify new crop opportunities and emerging markets.
- Prepare regular sales forecasts, market reports, and demand analyses.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities using CRM or reporting systems.
Team Coordination
- Coordinate with production, logistics, and customer support teams to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
- Guide junior sales executives or field officers, where applicable.
- Support management in developing regional sales strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agriculture), Agronomy, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 0-2 years of experience in sales and marketing of agricultural inputs.
- Hands-on experience in marketing bio-fertilizers, bio-pesticides, biostimulants, organic fertilizers, micronutrients, crop protection products, or specialty fertilizers.
- Established network with dealers, distributors, FPOs, agricultural retailers, and farmers.
- Experience in territory management and achieving sales targets.
Required Skills
- Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Thorough understanding of agricultural practices and crop nutrition.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple territories.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
