Location: Pune (HQ) | Travel: Pan-India + occasional international
Experience Level: 3–12 years (multiple positions – Executive to Managerial)
Primary Role Objective
Drive revenue growth, market penetration, brand positioning, and strategic partnerships for marine engines & related solutions across India.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, build, and develop customers across:
- Defence: Indian Navy / Coast Guard / Army (Sir Creek, Border Marine Ops, Riverine Craft)
- Central & State Govt. Agencies / PSUs
- Shipyards (Private & Government)
- Commercial marine operators, fishing, tourism, workboats & ports
- Work on tenders, RFPs, RFQs, e-procurement portals, price bids, techno-commercial submissions
- Build strong relationships with procurement teams, technical officers, yard GMs, OEM representatives
- Achieve revenue, order booking, and margin targets
Technical & Solution Selling
- Understand marine engines, performance curves, specifications, emission norms, power-to-weight balance
- Engage in application engineering discussions – matching engines to vessels, duty cycles, environment
- Coordinate with OEMs for proposals, approvals, LOAs, compliance documentation
- Support clients on:
- Engine selection
- Configuration & accessories
- Integration with propulsion systems
(Technical training will be provided, but curiosity & capability to learn are non-negotiable.)
Marketing & Brand Development
- Build strong positioning for the brands represented
- Develop technical presentations, capability decks, brochures & proposals
- Manage:
- LinkedIn presence
- Defence & marine exhibitions
- Product launches / demo programs
- Generate structured customer pipelines and territory plans rather than random “visit-for-the-sake-of-visiting”.
Internal & Commercial Coordination
- Work closely with management, projects, finance & service teams
- Contribute to pricing strategy, margin planning, commercial negotiations
- Ensure structured documentation: CRM, visit reports, pipeline, forecasts
Who We Are Looking For
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong B2B / Industrial / Capital equipment / Automotive / Marine / Defence sales experience
- Comfort working with technical products rather than soft goods
- Ability to operate in structured, process-driven tender and institutional selling environment
Must-Have Skills
- Solid communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and commercial sense
- Analytical approach + structured thinking
- Persistence, relationship capability, and professional maturity
- Fluency in English; Hindi & Marathi advantageous
Educational Background
Preferred:
- BE / BTech (Mechanical, Marine, Naval Architecture, Automobile)
- OR
- MBA / PGDM in Marketing with strong technical aptitude
- OR
- Ex-Navy / Coast Guard / Defence personnel with commercial mindset

Compensation
Depends on level of experience and role seniority.
