Job Description: Sales Manager – Freight & Logistics (US Market)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a results-driven “Sales Manager” with a strong background in “Freight brokerage and logistics” to expand our client base in the “US market”. The ideal candidate will be responsible for acquiring new customers, building long-term relationships, and driving revenue growth by securing “shipment contracts” from shippers, manufacturers, and businesses in need of logistics solutions. Additionally, this role will require “building and leading a high-performing sales team” to scale business operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute a sales strategy to acquire and retain clients in the **US freight & logistics market**.
• Identify potential customers (shippers, manufacturers, distributors, etc.) and convert them into long-term clients.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and continuously seek opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor strategies, and industry regulations.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of sales professionals to drive business growth.
• Develop training programs and sales processes to enhance team performance and productivity.
Requirements:
• Total Experience -7 Years, Proven experience (3-5+ years) in “freight brokerage, logistics sales, or supply chain management” targeting the “US market”.
• Strong network and relationships with shippers, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to close deals and manage client expectations.
• Understanding of freight pricing, carrier management, and shipment coordination.
• Ability to work in “US time zones” and generate sales independently.
• Experience in “hiring, training, and managing sales teams”.
• Proficiency in “CRM tools, sales analytics, and reporting”.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in international freight” sales.
• Knowledge of “TMS (Transportation Management Systems)”.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
