Role Description
The Sales Manager - Technical is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. The role involves managing client relationships, developing sales strategies, and driving business growth in the Test & Measurement and ICT sectors. Responsibilities include identifying and pursuing business opportunities, maintaining communication with existing and prospective clients, and delivering tailored solutions to meet client needs. The role requires regular collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure innovative and high-quality solutions.
Job Summary
The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by combining strong technical expertise with strategic sales execution. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, understanding technical requirements, and delivering tailored solutions that meet commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and market analysis.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to closing and post-sales support.
- Engage with customers to understand technical, application, and commercial requirements.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution proposals.
- Prepare accurate quotations and negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial terms.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility and timely delivery.
- Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts to drive repeat business.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Provide post-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electronics & Telecommunications.
- 2/3 years of experience in technical sales, B2B sales, or solution selling.
- Strong technical understanding of products/solutions within the industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions.
- Willingness to travel as required.
