Role Description
We are looking for a results-driven full-time Sales Manager (Projects) to lead and execute sales strategies for our projects. This role requires a dynamic professional who can manage the full sales cycle, build strong client relationships and drive revenue growth while coordinating closely with internal teams.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales initiatives related to large-scale industrial projects, including client acquisition, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and managing proposals and negotiations. Additional duties include ensuring the smooth execution of project contracts, coordinating with internal teams, and overseeing the scheduling and monitoring of project deliverables to meet client expectations. The role is based out of Visakhapatnam and will require a considerable amount of travel to client sites and HQs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve project sales targets
- Identify new business opportunities and generate leads through market research and networking
- Manage end-to-end sales process from prospecting to closing deals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners
- Present project proposals, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales efforts
- Track sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions
- Travel to client locations, project sites, and company headquarters as required to support sales activities and relationship management
Requirements:
- B.Tech in Engineering, M.Sc Geology, or a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum Five+ years of experience in mining, sales and material handling plants
- Willingness and ability to travel frequently to client project sites and/or headquarters (10-15 days of travel required per month)
- Willingness to learn on-the-job
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in mining, mechanical, material handling and related roles is a plus
- Experience in coal, power or steel industry is a plus
