Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and execute branch sales strategy to achieve annual revenue targets.
- Identify and acquire new customers including OEMs, EPC contractors, panel builders, and industrial clients.
- Expand the company’s presence in the Karnataka market.
- Build strong relationships with key decision makers and consultants.
- Ensure continuous growth in sales pipeline and order bookings.
2. Branch Profit & Loss (P&L) Management
- Responsible for branch profitability and financial performance.
- Monitor revenue, gross margins, and operational costs.
- Ensure branch operates within approved budgets.
- Optimize pricing strategy to maintain healthy margins.
3. Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, train, and manage the branch sales and support team.
- Set monthly and quarterly sales targets for team members.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and guidance.
- Build a high-performance sales culture.
4. Channel & Partner Development
- Develop and manage dealer / distributor network in the region.
- Identify strategic channel partners for market expansion.
- Conduct dealer training and engagement programs.
- Ensure partners achieve mutual business growth.
5. Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic clients.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and service quality.
- Resolve major customer complaints or commercial issues.
- Strengthen client retention and repeat business.
6. Order Management & Execution
- Ensure smooth coordination between sales, operations, logistics, and accounts.
- Monitor order processing, delivery timelines, and installation support.
- Ensure projects/orders are executed efficiently and within commitments.
7. Credit Control & Payment Collection
- Monitor customer credit limits and outstanding payments.
- Ensure timely payment collections from customers.
- Work with finance team to minimize credit risk and bad debts.
8. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis
- Track market trends, competitor strategies, and pricing.
- Provide regular market intelligence reports to management.
- Identify new product opportunities and market segments.
9. Strategic Planning & Reporting
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Present branch performance updates to management.
- Develop long-term business growth strategy for the region.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
A Branch Head should be evaluated on:
- Revenue achievement vs target
- Branch profitability
- Customer acquisition
- Dealer network growth
- Order execution efficiency
- Payment collections
- Team productivity
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of experience in sales and operations within the electrical trading / industrial products / automation industry is mandatory
- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or branch management role.
