About the Role
We are looking for a target-driven and execution-oriented Sales Manager with strong experience in retail loan sales, team management, and channel partner development. The candidate will be responsible for building SambalPay’s loan sales pipeline across direct, telecalling, referral, and DSA channels. This role requires hands-on selling, daily team management, disciplined MIS tracking, documentation control, lender coordination, and the ability to create a repeatable sales process in an early-stage fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets for SambalPay’s loan products across assigned markets and customer segments.
- Generate and convert leads through direct outreach, telecalling teams, DSA partners, banker/lender relationships, referrals, campus/PG/community channels, and local market activations.
- Build a structured sales funnel from lead generation to eligibility assessment, login, approval, sanction, disbursement, and post-disbursement follow-up.
- Own daily pipeline movement, conversion ratios, approval rates, disbursement value, and revenue productivity.
Telecaller & Sales Team Management
- Lead, motivate, train, and monitor a team of telecallers, sales executives, and relationship managers.
- Define daily calling targets, lead allocation rules, follow-up discipline, scripts, objection-handling playbooks, and escalation processes.
- Review call quality, lead disposition, productivity, login quality, and conversion rates on a daily basis.
- Coach team members on borrower need discovery, product explanation, documentation collection, responsible selling, and compliance-aligned communication.
DSA Onboarding, Activation & Management
- Identify, recruit, onboard, and manage DSAs, referral partners, connectors, and local business sources across target geographies.
- Conduct DSA due diligence, basic profile checks, documentation collection, agreement coordination, training, and activation planning.
- Train DSAs on SambalPay’s product suite, customer eligibility, lender policies, documentation requirements, login process, payout structure, and compliance expectations.
- Monitor DSA-wise lead quality, conversion, approval rate, payout claims, customer complaints, and adherence to ethical sales practices.
Lender, Credit & Operations Coordination
- Coordinate with lending partners, credit teams, and operations teams to ensure timely case login, documentation verification, query resolution, sanction, and disbursement.
- Maintain strong relationships with bankers/NBFCs/fintech lenders and understand lender-specific policies, product criteria, rejection reasons, and process changes.
- Ensure that customer applications are complete, accurate, and aligned with lender documentation requirements before submission.
- Escalate stuck cases, policy clarifications, documentation gaps, and customer issues promptly.
MIS, Reporting & Sales Process Discipline
- Maintain daily MIS covering calls, leads, follow-ups, logins, sanctions, disbursements, drop-offs, rejections, DSA productivity, and telecaller performance.
- Prepare weekly and monthly business reviews with clear commentary on funnel movement, team productivity, DSA activation, market learnings, and target achievement.
- Use CRM/loan origination tools consistently and ensure the team updates customer records accurately and on time.
- Identify bottlenecks in the sales process and suggest improvements to scripts, lead scoring, follow-up cadence, partner training, and lender matching.
Compliance, Customer Experience & Market Intelligence
- Ensure all sales practices follow SambalPay policies, lender guidelines, data privacy expectations, consent requirements, and responsible borrowing principles.
- Prevent mis-selling, false commitments, hidden charges, coercive follow-up, or inappropriate customer communication by telecallers, executives, and DSAs.
- Collect borrower feedback, competitor insights, pricing observations, rejection reasons, and market intelligence to improve product-market fit.
- Build trust with customers by explaining loan terms, eligibility, documentation, FOIR/affordability considerations, repayment obligations, and lender decisioning clearly.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of loan products such as personal loans, business loans, credit cards, home loans, LAP/mortgage, and other retail lending products.
- Experience in DSA/channel sales, banker/lender coordination, and field sales in BFSI, fintech, NBFC, bank, loan distributor, or lending marketplace environments.
- Ability to manage telecallers and sales executives through daily targets, coaching, call reviews, and performance dashboards.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and objection-handling skills.
- Good working knowledge of loan documentation, case login, credit/operations coordination, and disbursement follow-up.
- Comfort with MS Excel/Google Sheets, CRM tools, daily MIS, funnel metrics, and sales reporting.
- High ownership, field orientation, process discipline, and ability to work in a fast-paced early-stage environment.
- Customer-first approach with strong ethical judgment and sensitivity to responsible lending.
Eligibility Criteria
- 4–7 years of experience in loan sales, retail lending, DSA/channel sales, or financial services distribution.
- Mandatory exposure to at least one of the following products: Personal Loans, Business Loans, Home Loans/LAP, Credit Cards, or Multi-Product Loan Distribution.
- Prior experience managing telecallers, sales executives, relationship managers, or DSA networks will be preferred.
- Experience working with lending marketplaces, DSAs, NBFCs, banks, loan distributors, fintech companies, or mortgage advisory firms will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally for DSA meetings, lender/banker interactions, customer closures, and market development activities.
