Role Overview

The Sales Manager – GIS & Geospatial Solutions will be responsible for driving revenue growth through new business acquisition and expansion of existing accounts, with a primary focus on the US market. This role requires strong expertise in GIS technologies combined with a proven track record in international B2B sales. The individual will manage the complete sales lifecycle, engage with senior stakeholders, and position the organization as a strategic partner for geospatial transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the complete sales cycle for GIS and geospatial solutions, including prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, negotiation, and closure

• Manage complex, enterprise-level sales engagements involving multiple stakeholders, particularly within US-based organizations

• Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across the US market in sectors such as utilities, energy, telecom, infrastructure, and government

• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities related to GIS modernization, enterprise GIS, mobile GIS, and spatial analytics

• Develop and manage key client relationships to drive account expansion through upselling and cross-selling of GIS and digital transformation services

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, leading to repeat business and long-term partnerships

• Engage with CXOs, GIS leaders, and technology stakeholders to understand business objectives, geospatial strategies, and transformation priorities

• Align solutions with client requirements and clearly articulate business value and return on investment

• Collaborate with pre-sales, delivery, and product teams to design and present tailored GIS solutions

• Lead client presentations, demonstrations, and discussions to effectively communicate capabilities and value propositions

• Lead the development of proposals, RFP/RFQ responses, and Statements of Work (SOWs)

• Structure commercial terms and pricing strategies aligned with business objectives and profitability targets

• Maintain accurate pipeline data in CRM systems and provide reliable sales forecasts

• Monitor key performance metrics such as revenue targets, conversion rates, and sales cycle duration

• Work closely with SDR and marketing teams on targeted campaigns, account-based initiatives, and lead generation strategies for international markets

• Provide feedback to improve lead quality and campaign effectiveness

• Stay informed on GIS industry trends, including developments within the ESRI ecosystem and competitor offerings

• Leverage market insights to strengthen positioning and improve win rates


Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Geospatial Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

• 5 - 10 years of experience in B2B sales within GIS, geospatial solutions, IT services, SaaS, or digital transformation domains

• Demonstrated experience in selling to international clients, with a strong preference for exposure to the US market

• Strong understanding of GIS platforms and concepts, including ESRI (ArcGIS), enterprise GIS, mobile GIS, and spatial analytics

• Proven ability to manage complex enterprise sales cycles, including RFP/RFQ processes and multi-stakeholder engagements

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders

• Experience working in a target-driven, onsite or global team environment

• Proficiency in CRM tools and sales enablement platforms


Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships within US-based utilities, telecom, or energy sectors

• Exposure to advanced geospatial capabilities such as AI-driven GIS, digital twins, or spatial data analytics

• Experience in account-based sales strategies for international markets
