Role Overview
We are looking for a high-impact General Trade Manager to lead and scale the GT business across West & South regions. This is a P&L-driven leadership role focused on expanding distribution, driving secondary sales, and strengthening market presence across urban and emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
Drive primary and secondary sales across assigned regions
Deliver volume, value, and market share growth
Execute region-wise sales planning, forecasting, and target achievement
2. Distribution & Market Expansion
Build and scale a robust distributor and dealer network
Expand reach across Tier 2 & Tier 3 markets
Identify new territories and ensure effective coverage and beat plans
3. Channel Management
Manage General Trade channel partners including distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
Optimize trade schemes, margins, and pricing strategies
Collaborate with modern trade and emerging channels including Blinkit, Zepto, and Swiggy Instamart
4. Team Leadership
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, and field staff
Set KPIs, track performance, and drive a high-performance sales culture
5. Trade Marketing & Execution
Implement promotions, schemes, and visibility initiatives
Ensure strong in-store execution and brand visibility
Monitor competitor activity and adapt strategies accordingly
6. Financial & Operational Management
Own regional P&L, budgeting, and cost control
Ensure timely collections, credit control, and inventory management
Maintain optimal stock availability and supply chain coordination

Candidate Profile
8–15 years of experience in General Trade / FMCG / Consumer Goods / Lifestyle categories
Strong exposure to West & South India markets
Proven track record in distribution expansion and sales growth
Experience handling large distributor networks and field teams
Strong commercial acumen with P&L ownership mindset
