Role Description

We are looking for a dynamic and self-driven Sales Manager with strong experience in biotechnology, molecular biology, or life sciences sales to lead business development and client engagement in their assigned territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of scientific sales, market expansion, and relationship management with research institutes, biotech companies, and academic organizations..


Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Generation & Target Achievement: Drive sales across academic and industrial clients to achieve assigned revenue targets.
  • Lead Generation & Conversion: Identify, develop, and convert new leads into business opportunities through field visits, networking, and industry connections.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
  • Market Penetration: Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new accounts, expand market presence, and gain share in competitive landscapes.
  • Cross-Sell & Upsell: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling within existing accounts to maximize wallet share.
  • Field Presence: Conduct regular client meetings, presentations, and scientific discussions to understand project requirements and position Biotech Desk’s solutions effectively.
  • Coordination with Inside Sales & Technical Teams: Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure accurate quotations, project proposals, timely delivery, and customer support.
  • CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate customer data in CRM, track sales pipeline, report progress on KPIs, and provide regular updates on market intelligence.
  • Market Insights & Strategy: Provide feedback on competitor activities, market trends, and customer needs to shape product positioning and sales strategy.

  • Educational Qualifications: Graduate/postgraduate in Life Sciences


    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in sales management and sales strategies
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills
    • Strong market research and analytical abilities
    • Experience in the biotech industry or similar field
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software is a plus
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned zone
