Job Brief
One of our esteemed clients is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth through new account acquisition within either Corporate clients or Mall Management organisations. The role focuses on identifying, engaging, and converting new corporate or mall accounts for projects related to brand activations, visual merchandising, retail space decor, signage, and experiential marketing.
In this role, you will work with key corporate decision makers or mall management leadership to secure new projects and expand the company’s presence. If you have strong corporate networks or mall industry connections and the ability to convert opportunities into large-scale projects, this role offers the opportunity to work with leading brands and premium retail environments across India.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate or Mall New Account Acquisition
- Identify and acquire new corporate clients or mall management accounts to expand the company’s project portfolio.
- Build strong relationships with corporate marketing heads or mall management teams.
- Develop and deliver customised business pitches and presentations for branding, retail decor, signage, and experiential marketing solutions.
- Drive new business generation through proactive outreach, networking, and strategic relationship building.
- Position the company as a preferred execution partner for branding, visual merchandising, and activation projects.
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify new business opportunities across corporate offices, commercial complexes, or shopping malls.
- Engage with architects, interior designers, visual merchandisers, and marketing teams to convert concepts into live projects.
- Build a strong pipeline of high-value projects related to brand installations, retail décor, visual merchandising, and experiential activations.
- Track market trends and identify new opportunities within corporate branding or mall activation spaces.
Client & Opportunity Management
- Manage the complete business development cycle from prospecting to project closure.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, proposals, and opportunity pipelines in CRM systems.
- Ensure adherence to company pricing policies, commercial terms, and operational processes.
- Provide regular reports on revenue targets, pipeline progress, and new account acquisition performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the successful execution of acquired projects.
Qualifications
- 8 to 10+ years of experience in business development with exposure to corporate or mall new account acquisitions.
- Experience in branding, signage, retail activations, visual merchandising, architecture, retail design, or experiential marketing.
- Connections with corporate marketing leaders or mall management organisations will be an advantage.
- Exposure to shopping malls, retail environments, or visual merchandising projects preferred.
- Background in architecture, retail design, or premium interior environments will be an added advantage.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design, if available, will be beneficial.
Skills and Mindset
- Strong design sensibility with the ability to visualise retail and mall spaces
- Ability to convert creative ideas into structured business proposals
- Comfortable engaging with mall management, retail brand teams, and design professionals
- Solution-oriented thinker with a balance of creativity and commercial awareness
- Understanding of mall branding formats, seasonal campaigns, and retail visibility tools
- Proficient in using CRM systems for tracking leads, deals, and reporting.
