Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in the Pune Division. The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for industrial speed reducer and transmission solutions. Typical day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying leads, conducting client meetings and technical discussions, preparing proposals and quotations, and negotiating pricing and contract terms in alignment with company guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, production, and customer service teams to ensure accurate specifications, timely deliveries, and high customer satisfaction. The Sales Manager will also track sales performance, forecast demand, maintain a structured sales pipeline, and provide regular reports and market feedback to management for strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial or B2B sales, preferably in mechanical, transmission, or powertrain products.
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, speed reducers, gearboxes, or related mechanical components, or willingness to learn quickly.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into clear value propositions for customers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong analytical and planning abilities, including pipeline management, sales forecasting, and territory management.
- Comfort with on-site client visits, field travel within the Pune Division and surrounding regions, and regular customer interactions at industrial facilities.
- Proficiency in basic office and CRM tools for maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing customer data.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work both independently and in coordination with cross-functional teams.
