Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager with 6–10 years of proven experience in sales, business development, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive revenue growth while managing and motivating a sales team.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve room revenue, banquet sales, and overall business targets.
- Identify and acquire new business opportunities across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Travel Trade, Weddings, and Events segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, wedding planners, event organisers, and key stakeholders.
- Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings, presentations, and hotel site inspections to generate new business.
- Drive revenue for guest rooms, banquets, conferences, events, and food & beverage outlets.
- Organise client engagement activities, familiarisation trips, and promotional events to strengthen brand visibility.
- Participate in trade fairs, networking events, exhibitions, and industry-related promotional activities.
Revenue Management & Market Analysis
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to identify growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with Revenue Management and Reservations teams to maximise occupancy, ADR, and overall profitability.
- Prepare sales forecasts, monthly business reports, and performance analysis reports.
- Analyse sales performance data and recommend strategic initiatives for revenue enhancement.
- Ensure achievement of departmental budgets, sales targets, and profitability goals.
Client Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain long-term professional relationships with key clients and business partners.
- Ensure prompt response and follow-up for all business enquiries, proposals, and contracts.
- Handle guest concerns, escalations, and client feedback professionally to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Maintain a high standard of service excellence and brand representation during all client interactions.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports and MIS documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, proposals, and sales activities.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and departmental planning processes.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of events, bookings, and guest requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, grooming standards, and reporting procedures.
- Support marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, and brand-building activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is preferred.
- 6–10 years of experience in sales or business development.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and team management.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
