Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in the Pune Division. The Sales Manager will lead and develop a sales team, set targets, and monitor performance to drive revenue growth for construction equipment and related services. Responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and conducting client meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations. The role also includes building and maintaining long-term customer relationships, negotiating pricing and contract terms, and coordinating with service and parts teams to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. The Sales Manager will analyze market trends, prepare sales forecasts and reports, and collaborate with management to develop sales strategies and promotional activities for the assigned territory.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Experience in client relationship management, with the ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored equipment and service solutions.
- Knowledge of construction equipment, capital goods, or industrial products; prior experience in heavy machinery sales is highly preferred.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, with the ability to conduct effective product demonstrations and commercial discussions.
- Team leadership and people management capabilities, including mentoring, coaching, and performance tracking of a sales team.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in basic MS Office tools and familiarity with CRM or sales tracking systems.
- Ability to work on-site in the Pune Division and travel frequently within the assigned territory as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; relevant sales certifications or training are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work ethically, meet deadlines, and manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
