Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Fatehpur. The Sales Manager will lead and develop a local sales team, set sales targets, and drive health insurance business growth within the assigned territory. Responsibilities include planning and executing sales strategies, coaching and motivating agents, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves building strong relationships with customers, banks, brokers, and other distribution partners, conducting market analysis, and implementing initiatives to improve customer acquisition and retention. The Sales Manager will also collaborate with branch leadership and corporate teams to align local sales activities with overall business goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in insurance or financial services, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Skills in team leadership, coaching, and performance management to guide and develop sales and agent networks.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities with customers, distribution partners, and local stakeholders.
- Competence in territory planning, market analysis, and execution of sales strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and make data-informed decisions.
- Good understanding of health insurance products and basic regulatory requirements (IRDAI guidelines preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in insurance or sales are an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic digital tools used for sales tracking and reporting.
- Willingness to travel within the territory as required and collaborate closely with branch and corporate teams.
