Position Overview
We are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, and result-oriented Sales Managers to drive business growth in our target territories. This role is ideal for professionals with industrial sales experience and technical acumen, particularly those with a Mechanical Engineering background.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within manufacturing, construction, mining, marine, and infrastructure sectors
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets while maintaining gross margin goals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consulting engineers, and industrial contractors
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations to clients
Territory Management:
- Manage assigned territory (Mumbai/Pune/Chhattisgarh/Madhya Pradesh) effectively
- Develop strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts
- Conduct regular sales calls and site visits to understand customer requirements
Technical Consultation:
- Provide technical guidance on wire rope applications, specifications, and safety standards
- Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate product solutions
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents
- Address customer queries regarding product performance and compliance
Customer Relationship Management:
- Ensure exceptional customer service and prompt resolution of issues
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely product delivery
- Provide after-sales support and technical assistance
- Gather market intelligence and customer feedback for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
- OR degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field
- MBA in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of proven sales experience in industrial products
- Experience in wire ropes, lifting equipment, fasteners, or industrial hardware is highly desirable
- Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Experience in B2B sales and dealing with large industrial clients
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of industrial applications and engineering specifications
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
- Knowledge of wire rope standards, grades, and applications is an asset (training will be provided)
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic and ownership mindset
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory
- Problem-solving aptitude and analytical thinking

What we're Looking For
Essential:
- Educational Background: Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma strongly preferred
- Proven track record in B2B industrial sales
- Self-motivated, result-oriented, and target-driven mindset
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned territories
- Valid driver's license
Preferred:
- Prior experience in wire ropes, industrial products, lifting equipment, or engineering goods
- Existing network in manufacturing, construction, mining, or infrastructure sectors
- Understanding of technical specifications and industrial applications
- Familiarity with Maharashtra, Goa, Chhattisgarh, or Madhya Pradesh markets
