Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role based in Kochi, where some work-from-home flexibility is available. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving sales activities, building and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. Your day-to-day tasks include developing sales strategies, analyzing market trends, managing a sales team, and overseeing successful execution of sales campaigns. You will collaborate with other departments to ensure customer needs are met, while identifying opportunities for business growth.
Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic oversight and mentorship to a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Officers.
- Define clear KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement training programs to enhance team productivity.
- Ensure alignment between regional sales efforts and corporate growth objectives.
2. Sales & Business Development
- Lead the sales lifecycle for Shakthiman Extrusions’ product portfolio, ensuring dominant market share in key territories.
- Identify and onboard high-potential distributors and retail partners to expand the brand’s geographic footprint.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with architects, MEP consultants, and large-scale developers.
3. Strategic Market Analysis
- Monitor regional market dynamics to adjust pricing strategies and promotional activities effectively.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing and logistics departments to ensure product availability aligns with market demand.
- Execute marketing campaigns and technical seminars to increase brand visibility among industry stakeholders.
4. Financial & Operational Oversight
- Oversee the collection process and manage credit terms for the association to ensure healthy cash flow.
- Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and performance reports for executive leadership.
- Analyze sales data to identify emerging opportunities and areas for operational improvement.
Qualifications- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of professional sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within the building materials industry (e.g., PVC pipes, Paints, Hardware etc).
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, public speaking, and analytical skills. Proficiency in CRM software and data-driven reporting tools.
