Role Purpose
The Sales Manager – South will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market presence across the South India territory. The role involves leading the regional sales team, managing key accounts and channel partners, and ensuring the achievement of revenue targets for the assigned portfolio.
The position requires strong leadership, market knowledge, and the ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in academia, research institutions, hospitals, and the biopharma industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional sales strategy and territory plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Lead, mentor, and manage Territory Sales Managers within the region.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within academia, research institutes, hospitals, and biopharma companies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, customers, and institutional stakeholders.
- Manage and strengthen distributor and channel partner relationships to ensure effective regional coverage.
- Monitor sales pipeline and track opportunities through CRM systems.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular performance reports.
- Conduct regular sales reviews and strategy discussions with team members and channel partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, applications, service, and supply chain to ensure effective execution of sales strategies.
Education & Experience
- Essential: MSc / MTech in Life Sciences or related discipline
- Preferred: MBA
- Experience: 15+ years of experience in sales and business development within the Life Sciences / Biopharma industry, including experience in regional sales management, team leadership, and channel management.
