Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based at Orchha Palace and Resorts in Orchha. The Sales Manager will be responsible for generating new business, managing key accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, event planners, and direct guests. Daily tasks include identifying sales opportunities, preparing and delivering sales presentations, negotiating rates and contracts, and following up on leads and inquiries. The role involves coordinating with the reservations, front office, and events teams to ensure smooth execution of group bookings, conferences, weddings, and other events. The Sales Manager will also track sales performance, prepare regular sales reports, contribute to sales forecasts, and support marketing initiatives such as promotions, packages, and participation in trade shows or local networking events.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel or resort sales, preferably in luxury or upscale hospitality.
- Strong skills in B2B and B2C sales, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, wedding planners, and event organizers.
- Experience in planning and selling group stays, corporate events, weddings, and social functions.
- Comfort with preparing proposals, contracts, rate agreements, and sales presentations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems, CRM tools, and basic MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Comfort working on-site in Orchha and collaborating closely with operations, reservations, and marketing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in the Orchha or regional tourism market is an advantage.
