We're hiring our first Sales Manager in Hyderabad to own India for NexPOS.
NexPOS is cloud point-of-sale software for restaurants, cafés, retail stores and pharmacies. Merchants run their whole counter — billing, inventory, payments, reports — from the devices they already own, with no expensive proprietary hardware. We're live with paying customers across multiple countries, and India is now our biggest opportunity.
This is an early sales hire. There is no playbook to inherit. You'll write it.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build pipeline across Hyderabad — field visits, cold calls, referrals, market associations. Start with Gachibowli, Madhapur, Jubilee Hills, Kukatpally and Secunderabad, then expand.
- Demo the product on-site and remotely, tailored to restaurant, retail and pharmacy workflows
- Own the full cycle: qualify, price, handle objections, close
- Onboard new merchants through their first weeks so they actually adopt and stay
- Build indirect channels through hardware dealers, billing consultants and payment partners
- Report structured market intelligence back to product — pricing pressure, missing features, why deals are lost
- Maintain a clean CRM and an accurate weekly forecast
- Hire and lead junior sales executives as the region scales
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4+ years in B2B sales, including 2+ years selling SaaS, POS, fintech or software to SMBs
- A track record of hitting quota — bring numbers, not adjectives
- Genuine field comfort: walking into a restaurant cold and holding a useful conversation with the owner
- Fluent English and Telugu; Hindi is a strong plus
- Technical enough to demo software confidently and solve basic setup problems
- Two-wheeler and willingness to move around the city daily
- Self-directed. Nobody will be watching your calendar.
STRONG ADVANTAGE
- Sold POS, billing or restaurant tech before — Petpooja, Gofrugal, Rista, PosBytz, Zomato, Swiggy, Marg or similar
- Existing relationships with restaurant, retail or pharmacy owners in Hyderabad
- First or early sales hire at a startup
- Understand UPI settlement and payment gateway flows
