ABOUT THE ROLE
NAFCONNECT LLP is looking for an experienced and ownership-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales operations of PUYYAPLA. The Sales Manager will be fully responsible for achieving revenue targets, building and managing the sales team, improving lead conversion, maintaining service quality, and driving business growth across branches.
This is a senior role requiring strong leadership, team management, sales planning, forecasting ability, and the capacity to make independent decisions in day-to-day sales operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Management & Planning
• Own and manage the overall sales function to ensure monthly and quarterly revenue targets are achieved.
• Set clear daily, weekly, and monthly performance expectations for each team member.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly sales forecasts and break down targets by executive and branch.
• Plan the monthly sales calendar and align team activities, campaigns, and follow-up schedules accordingly.
• Monitor sales performance continuously and take corrective actions when targets are at risk.
• Drive improvements in team productivity, call output, follow-up quality, and overall conversion rate.
Team Building, Training & Performance
• Lead the recruitment and onboarding of new sales staff — including interviewing candidates and ensuring proper induction.
• Train sales executives on customer handling, product knowledge, objection handling, and closing techniques.
• Identify performance gaps and design individual improvement plans for underperforming staff.
• Recommend and manage incentive schemes and recognition programs to keep the team motivated.
• Build a culture of accountability, discipline, and target focus within the sales team.
• Handle internal team conflicts and maintain a professional and positive work environment.
CRM & Pipeline Management
• Own and manage the lead tracking system (CRM, Google Sheets, or equivalent tool) for the sales team.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry by all team members for every lead interaction.
• Review pipeline health regularly and identify bottlenecks or gaps in the sales process.
• Oversee lead allocation across executives based on capacity, performance, and lead priority.
• Monitor the status of fresh leads, old leads, hot leads, and pending payments through structured reports.
Lead Conversion & Revenue Growth
• Oversee and review the team’s follow-up process for all lead categories — fresh, warm, old, and pending payment.
• Drive improvement in lead-to-payment conversion through better sales process design and team coaching.
• Act as the final escalation point for important customers and high-value sales opportunities before escalating to management.
• Drive customer retention, membership renewals, and upselling to existing customers to reduce churn.
• Ensure the team consistently follows up on pending payments and minimises revenue leakage.
Quality Control & Customer Experience
• Monitor call quality, WhatsApp communication, and overall customer service standards across the team.
• Ensure all team members provide accurate information on packages, pricing, benefits, validity, and service process.
• Prevent and address false commitments, wrong promises, or unprofessional customer handling.
• Serve as the senior escalation point for unresolved or critical customer complaints before reaching management.
• Continuously improve customer trust, satisfaction, and service quality at all touchpoints.
Reporting, Forecasting & Business Coordination
• Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports to management.
• Track and analyse sales achievement, conversion rates, pending payments, staff performance, and lead quality.
• Compare actuals vs targets monthly and provide management with actionable insights and recommendations.
• Own and drive improvements in pricing strategy, offer structures, sales scripts, and lead handling processes — not just suggest.
• Coordinate with the marketing team on WhatsApp broadcast campaigns, lead generation activities, and promotional offers.
• Stay updated on competitor matrimonial platforms and market trends; share relevant insights with management.
• Coordinate with customer support and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
Inter-Branch Management & Field Activity
• Take ownership of aligning sales operations, targets, and team performance across Payyannur, Kozhikode and Tirur branches.
• Conduct regular branch visits for team reviews, performance checks, and on-ground training.
• Support field marketing activities, community outreach, and local business development initiatives.
• Consolidate and report branch-level performance data to management in a structured format.
• Ready to travel as required for branch reviews, business meetings, training, and marketing support.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Strong sales management, revenue planning, and team leadership skills.
• Good communication skills in Malayalam and English — both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage targets, work under pressure, and drive results through a team.
• Strong customer handling, escalation management, and sales closing ability.
• Good reporting, forecasting, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Quality-focused approach in customer communication, service delivery, and team standards.
• Ability to hire, train, motivate, and professionally manage team members.
• Proficiency in CRM tools, lead tracking systems, Excel, or Google Sheets.
• Conflict resolution and team discipline management skills.
• Hiring judgment and ability to assess candidates during the recruitment process.
• Willingness to travel between branches as per business needs.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in any discipline (Candidates with strong field experience and proven track record may be considered even without a degree)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
• 4+ years of experience in sales, telesales, service-based sales, or subscription sales.
• Minimum 2 years of team management or sales leadership experience.
• Prior experience in matrimonial, matchmaking, or family services is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in Kerala or Gulf-Muslim community-focused businesses will be a strong advantage.
• Background in subscription sales, banking, insurance, education, real estate, or healthcare will be considered.
• Experience managing branch-level or multi-location sales teams is preferred.
