Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Manager role based in Surat. The Sales Manager will oversee sales operations, manage key customer accounts, and drive revenue growth in assigned territories and channels. Responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities, developing and executing sales plans, and maintaining strong relationships with distributors, dealers, and end customers. The role involves leading and mentoring the sales team, tracking performance against targets, preparing sales forecasts and reports, and coordinating with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and finance. The Sales Manager will also conduct market analysis, monitor competitor activities, and represent the company in client meetings, product presentations, and industry events as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales management, preferably in lighting, electrical, building materials, or related industries.
- Strong skills in business development, account management, and territory or channel management.
- Ability to set sales targets, develop sales strategies, and track performance through reports and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities with a customer-focused mindset.
- Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a sales team to achieve and exceed goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities.
- Comfort working on-site in Surat and regularly engaging with clients and partners in the field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is an advantage.
- Proficiency with basic office software and sales tools; experience with CRM systems is preferred.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and willingness to work in a performance-driven environment.
