Job Description –Sales Head (Kenya)

Location: Nairobi (with extensive travel across assigned counties/regions)
Compensation: Competitive (Market-aligned for Kenya) + Performance Incentives + Travel Allowances
Role Purpose
The Sales Manager– Kenya will be responsible for driving market entry, revenue growth, and strategic hospital partnerships for Janitri’s maternal, fetal, and newborn monitoring solutions across Kenya. The role requires deep engagement with hospitals, county health systems, distributors, NGOs, and development partners to scale adoption of Janitri’s medical devices and digital health solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Revenue Growth
● Develop and execute territory-level sales strategies to achieve revenue and adoption targets for Janitri’s devices and software solutions.
● Build a robust sales funnel and ensure timely conversion as per Plan.
2. Hospital & Institutional Partnerships
● Identify, onboard, and manage partnerships with:
○ Public & private hospitals
○ County referral hospitals
○ Maternity homes and clinics
○ Diagnostic centres and nursing homes
● Engage with key stakeholders including:
○ Doctors (OBGYNs, Paediatricians, Neonatologists)
○ Hospital administrators & procurement teams
○ County Health Officials
○ Medical Superintendents & CEOs
3. Channel & Distribution Management
● Identify and develop distributor and reseller networks across Kenya and neighbouring regions.
● Design and manage agent/distributor commission structures, ensuring profitability and compliance.
● Monitor channel performance and manage payouts to protect the bottom line.
4. Product Promotion & Market Development
● Promote Janitri’s medical devices, SaaS platforms, and subscription-based offerings.
● Conduct product demos, training sessions, and clinical discussions with healthcare professionals.
● Participate in the local medical programs, CMEs.
● Gather structured market feedback and relay insights to product and service teams.
5. Market Intelligence & Competition Analysis
● Track competitor products, pricing, tenders, and market positioning.
● Provide insights on procurement cycles, county budgets, and tendering processes.
● Support go-to-market and pricing strategy for East Africa.
Qualifications
Essential
● Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Healthcare, or related field
● MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Sales/Marketing is preferred
Experience
● 5-7 years of experience in B2B healthcare sales or business development
● Proven experience selling to:
○ Hospitals or clinics
○ Medical devices, diagnostics, healthtech, or healthcare services
● Experience working with distributors, NGOs, or public health systems is a strong plus
Preferred Background

● Strong understanding of Kenya’s healthcare ecosystem.
