Area Manager – Sales & Marketing
Filter Press / Capital Equipment
Hydro Press Industries is looking for an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager to drive business growth for our filter press systems across process industries. This role requires strong technical selling skills, strategic market development experience, and the ability to manage long-cycle industrial sales.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 15–20 years of experience in B2B sales/marketing of capital equipment
- Strong exposure to technical and relationship-driven industrial sales
- Proven success in handling high-value projects and key accounts
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in the following industries are preferred:
- Chemical Processing
- Edible Oil Refining
- Wastewater Treatment (ETP/STP)
- Mining & Minerals
- Pharmaceuticals
- Food & Beverage Processing
Technical Knowledge
- Understanding of filtration and solid-liquid separation systems preferred
- Familiarity with pumps, valves, and process equipment
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, P&IDs, and customer requirements
- Experience in pump, valve, or allied industrial equipment sales is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand business for filter press machines in assigned territories and industries
- Identify new customers in sectors such as chemicals, wastewater treatment, mining, food processing, pharmaceuticals, and edible oil industries
- Generate leads through direct visits, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, exhibitions, and industrial networks
- Promote filter press solutions based on customer process requirements and applications
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and commercial discussions with clients
- Understand customer requirements, process conditions, and filtration applications
- Coordinate with design, production, and service teams for technical and commercial support
- Prepare techno-commercial quotations, proposals, and tender documents
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and finalize orders with customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with plant heads, purchase teams, consultants, and decision-makers
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Expand dealer, distributor, and channel partner networks where applicable
- Follow up on inquiries, pending quotations, and order conversions
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, customer database, and CRM records
- Track project execution, dispatch schedules, and customer satisfaction
- Handle payment follow-ups and ensure timely collections
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, and territory performance reports
- Participate in industrial exhibitions, seminars, and marketing campaigns
- Support branding and digital marketing initiatives for filter press products
- Lead and guide sales executives or regional sales teams within the assigned area
- Ensure high customer satisfaction through effective communication and after-sales coordination
Preferred Skills
- Strong technical selling and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of filtration systems and process equipment
- Ability to read technical specifications and P&IDs
- Good communication skills in English; regional language/Hindi is an advantage
· Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
· Fluency in English is mandatory; knowing additional languages will be an added advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: ₹12–15.6 LPA (best in industry for the right candidate)
- Statutory benefits as applicable

- Candidates from B2C, FMCG, retail, or consumable product sales
- Dealer/distributor-focused sales profiles without industrial exposure
- Candidates without capital equipment or technical sales experience
