Role - Business Development Lead / Sales Manager (GTM Events & Conferences)
We are looking for a high-performing and strategic sales professional from the media and business consulting ecosystem to drive revenue growth for our GTM-focused events, leadership conferences, industry forums, and branded knowledge platforms.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in consultative B2B sales, stakeholder management, sponsorship closures, and enterprise partnerships, preferably from organizations such as Gartner, Forrester, IDC, or similar business consulting and research-driven media companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end sales for GTM events, leadership summits, conferences, roundtables, and branded content initiatives.
- Identify and onboard enterprise clients, sponsors, and strategic partners across industries.
- Build strong relationships with CXOs, marketing leaders, business heads, and decision-makers.
- Develop customized partnership and sponsorship solutions aligned with client GTM objectives.
- Lead revenue generation through consultative selling and strategic account management.
- Collaborate closely with editorial, programming, marketing, and client servicing teams to deliver high-impact event experiences.
- Track market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Own sales pipeline management, forecasting, negotiations, and commercial closures.
Requirement-
- 6–8 years of experience in B2B sales, sponsorship sales, event sales, or enterprise partnerships.
- Prior experience in media, business consulting, research/advisory, or conference-led organizations is mandatory.
- Strong preference for candidates from companies similar to Gartner, Forrester, IDC, or related ecosystems.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and closing large-ticket partnerships.
- Strong network within enterprise, technology, marketing, or business leadership communities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Background
- Experience in selling leadership events, GTM conferences, business forums, research-backed content solutions, or integrated media offerings.
- Exposure to consultative sales and enterprise relationship management.
- Understanding of the media, events, and business intelligence landscape.
