Role Description The Sales Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving loan sales across product lines by generating leads, building and maintaining relationships with customers, and understanding their financial needs. This role involves managing and mentoring a sales team, setting sales targets, tracking performance, and ensuring high-quality customer service throughout the loan lifecycle. The Sales Manager will collaborate with channel partners, to structure suitable loan solutions, negotiate terms where appropriate, and ensure timely closure of deals. Daily activities include field visits, pipeline management, coordination with internal operations for documentation and disbursal, and preparing regular sales reports and market feedback for management.
Qualifications
- Strong sales, business development, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Expertise in retail lending products (e.g., home loans, LAP, vehicle loans, business and SME/MSME loans) and understanding of banking/NBFC processes.
- Team leadership abilities, including mentoring, performance management, and motivation of sales staff to achieve collective goals.
- Proficiency in using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic digital platforms for lead tracking, reporting, and documentation management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and local languages, with the ability to explain financial products clearly and confidently.
- Maintain healthy relationships with banking officials, including Branch Managers, Center Heads, Processing Officers, Credit & Operations Teams
- Coordinate with the internal Admin, Sales, and Accounts departments to ensure smooth business processing.
- Generate post-disbursement billing documents.
- Submit billing files and required documents to the respective bank branches.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing coordination.
- Track business performance of mapped sales partners.
- Analyze productivity and maintain regular reporting.
- Support partners in improving conversion and business volumes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in financial services, banking, or NBFC sales, preferably in loan distribution or related domains.
- Ability to work on-site in Vadodara and conduct regular field visits.
