Job Title: Sales Manager – Tool Steel & Engineering Materials
Location: India (Bangalore preferred | Extensive travel required)
Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to lead business growth across India in the Tool Steel and Engineering Materials segment.
This is a hands-on leadership role, combining strategic planning with direct customer engagement, key account management, and deal closure.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development- Drive revenue growth and consistently achieve/exceed sales targets
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives
- Identify and penetrate new markets, industries, and key accounts
- Build and strengthen long-term relationships with customers and partners
- Lead negotiations and close high-value, complex deals
Team Leadership- Recruit, lead, and develop a team of 2–4 sales engineers
- Set clear KPIs, targets, and performance expectations
- Coach and mentor team members to enhance productivity and skills
- Foster a high-performance, results-driven sales culture
Market & Customer Management- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers across industries
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention
Sales Operations- Manage sales forecasting, pipeline, and reporting
- Ensure effective CRM usage and data-driven decision-making
- Coordinate with supply chain, operations, and finance for seamless execution
- Oversee full sales cycle from sourcing to delivery
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in industrial/B2B sales
- Strong expertise in tool steel / engineering steel (mandatory)
- Experience working with tool rooms (die & mould), steel mills, or manufacturing industries
- Proven track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets
- Prior experience in team leadership or management
