Job Description: Sales Executive / Manager – Commercial Energy Storage (India - Remote)
About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Sales Executive / Manager to drive our business expansion in India. This is a remote-based position. You will be responsible for the initial market entry, identifying commercial opportunities, and establishing the company’s footprint in the Indian energy storage sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Lead the end-to-end sales process for commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage and large-scale battery energy storage solutions (BESS).
- Market Opportunity Identification: Conduct market mapping to identify high-growth potential within the Indian renewable energy landscape.
- Partnership Acquisition: Develop and manage strategic relationships with EPC contractors, project developers, and regional distributors.
- Project Management: Oversee the full project lifecycle, including initial origination, technical alignment, bidding, and closing negotiations.
- Sales Targets: Deliver on specific revenue and energy shipment (MWh) targets as part of an individual sales quota.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal engineering and finance teams to ensure technical solutions align with client requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Industry Experience: 2–3+ years of experience in the sales of C&I energy storage or PV + storage projects, specifically within the Indian market.
- Background: Must come from a specialized industry background, including leading energy storage, solar, or renewable energy companies.
- Professional Network: Strong existing network with EPC contractors, project developers, and commercial/industrial end-users.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of BESS components, including battery systems, PCS, and local grid connection regulations.
- Sales Mindset: A "hunter" approach to sales with the independence to manage complex B2B deals from lead generation to delivery.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English is required; knowledge of regional Indian languages is an advantage.
