Company Description
ResQBag is a pioneering food-tech platform in India committed to reducing food waste and promoting sustainability. The platform connects eco-conscious, budget-friendly consumers with local restaurants, bakeries, and stores offering surplus food at discounted rates. By facilitating the purchase of "ResQ Bags" filled with high-quality unsold food, ResQBag helps combat food waste while benefiting both businesses and consumers. Our mission is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and create a community of food rescuers working to save good food and reduce waste.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for a Sales Lead/ B2B Partnerships position. The Sales Lead will be responsible for identifying and cultivating partnerships with local food businesses to join the ResQBag platform. Key duties include building and maintaining client relationships, managing sales pipelines, training business partners, and driving the growth of our mission to reduce food waste through effective B2B collaboration.
You won't be sitting behind a desk sending emails, you will be walking the streets of HSR Layout, talking to cafe owners, understanding their unit economics, and convincing them to pilot our "Zero Waste, Zero Cost" platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Sales & Acquisition: Physically visit cafes, bakeries, and QSRs in HSR Layout and pitch the ResQBag value proposition.
- Objection Handling: Navigate complex conversations with restaurant owners regarding commission structures, tablet fatigue, and brand dilution.
- Onboarding: Walk business owners through the merchant agreement, collect required KYC (FSSAI/GST details), and get them live on the app.
- Account Management: Act as the primary point of contact for our first 50 pilot partners, ensuring they are successfully uploading their daily "Surprise Bags."
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
- Extreme comfort with cold-calling and in-person B2B sales (experience in food-tech or FMCG but hunger matters more).
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to build immediate trust with local business owners.
- A "Founder's Mentality"—you don't wait for instructions; you see a closed door and figure out how to open it.
- Fluency in English and Kannada/Hindi to effectively communicate with local staff and owners.
- Proven experience in Sales and Sales Management
- Ability to effectively train and onboard business partners
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with food-tech or sustainability practices is a plus
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
- Students Welcome: Are you in college and want to build real-world, hard sales skills instead of doing a boring corporate internship? We want you.
