As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Lead to support and strengthen our sales, customer relationship management, operational coordination, and administrative functions.
Position Overview
The Sales Lead – Sales & Administration will play a critical role in driving business growth, managing customer relationships, supporting procurement and sales coordination activities, and overseeing day-to-day sales administration functions.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors and management team to develop new business opportunities, maintain existing client relationships, coordinate customer orders, support tender and government procurement activities, and ensure smooth operational and administrative processes.
This is a hands-on role suited for an energetic, commercially minded individual who thrives in a fast-paced business environment and is capable of balancing both sales and operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across B2B, wholesale, FMCG, institutional, and government sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, suppliers, and key stakeholders
- Manage existing customer accounts and support customer retention initiatives
- Conduct regular customer follow-ups and business development activities
- Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and commercial offers
- Support business expansion initiatives across new markets and product categories
- Achieve agreed sales targets and business growth objectives
- Coordinate customer enquiries and provide timely responses and support
Government & Tender Support
- Assist with Government e-Marketplace (GeM) activities and tender-related processes
- Monitor tender opportunities and coordinate submission requirements
- Prepare and maintain tender documentation, compliance records, and related correspondence
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding procurement requirements and submissions
Sales Administration & Operations
- Manage sales documentation, customer records, contracts, and reporting
- Coordinate customer orders with procurement, warehousing, logistics, and delivery teams
- Ensure timely processing of orders, invoicing coordination, and customer communication
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, customer requirements, and sales activities
- Support management with preparation of reports, presentations, and operational updates
- Assist in streamlining administrative and operational processes
- Ensure high standards of customer service and issue resolution
Relationship & Service Management
- Maintain professional and positive customer relationships
- Address customer concerns and coordinate timely resolution
- Support the company’s reputation for service excellence, reliability, and integrity
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
Skills & Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, administration, or operations
- Experience in FMCG, food distribution, commodities, agriculture, wholesale trading, or supply chain industries preferred
- Knowledge of procurement, tendering, GeM platform, or government supply processes will be highly regarded
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with ERP systems or sales management systems is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
