About the Role

Barcode Entertainment is seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Micro-Drama Division to build and scale our micro-drama business. This leadership role is responsible for driving revenue, sales, partnerships, and operational excellence, while shaping a sustainable, high-volume content engine for India and global platforms. The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of business acumen and creative production experience, with a proven ability to grow and monetize content or IP-driven businesses.



Responsibilities


Business & Revenue Leadership


  • Own P&L for the Micro-Drama Division with clear revenue and growth targets
  • Drive sales and licensing across Indian and international OTT platforms, short-form apps, and digital publishers
  • Develop monetization strategies including licensing, format sales, adaptations, brand integrations, and IP extensions
  • Build long-term platform partnerships in India and global markets


Content Scaling & Production Strategy


  • Create systems for mass production of micro-drama content while maintaining creative quality
  • Balance speed, cost efficiency, and creative innovation
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, greenlighting, and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously


Project & Team Management


  • Build and lead cross-functional teams across creative, production, sales, and business affairs
  • Establish strong project management frameworks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Work closely with creators, writers, directors, and external production partners


Platform & Market Strategy


  • Track platform trends, audience behavior, and emerging formats across India and global markets
  • Tailor content and packaging strategies for different platforms and territories
  • Identify new opportunities in short-form and micro-drama storytelling



Qualifications

  • 8–10 years of experience in media, entertainment, content, or digital production businesses
  • Demonstrated success in growing a creative or production-led business
  • Strong background in sales, licensing, partnerships, or revenue-driven roles
  • Solid understanding of content production economics and workflows
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and scale new verticals
  • Experience working with Indian and/or global platforms preferred



Required Skills
