Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive role for Freight Forwarding Export-Import, based in Ahmedabad. The Sales Executive will identify and develop new business opportunities in export and import freight forwarding, focusing on ocean, air, and surface logistics solutions. Daily tasks include prospecting and meeting potential clients, preparing and presenting customized quotations, and negotiating rates and service terms. The role involves maintaining ongoing relationships with existing customers, coordinating closely with operations and documentation teams, and ensuring smooth shipment execution. The Sales Executive will monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to support pricing strategies and service improvements, while achieving assigned sales targets and reporting regularly on pipeline and performance.
Qualifications
- Strong client-facing skills, including clear Communication and persuasive Sales abilities.
- Hands-on experience in Export operations and familiarity with export-import procedures and documentation.
- Background in International Sales with a focus on freight forwarding or logistics services.
- Understanding of International Business practices, trade terms (Incoterms), and global shipping channels.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Knowledge of customs regulations, freight rates, and multimodal transport (air, sea, and road) is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic office and CRM tools for managing leads, quotations, and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site in Ahmedabad.
