About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and technically sound Sales Executive for our growing Flexible Printing & Packaging business. The ideal candidate should have hands-on industry exposure in flexible packaging products, customer handling, costing coordination, business development, and end-to-end sales execution. The person will play a key role in building market presence, customer relationships, internal coordination systems, and sales processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the flexible packaging market.
- Generate leads and convert prospects into long-term customers across industries such as FMCG, food, pharmaceuticals, agro, chemicals, personal care, etc.
- Handle complete sales cycle from enquiry generation to order closure.
- Achieve sales targets, revenue growth, and customer acquisition goals.
- Conduct market visits, customer meetings, and technical discussions with clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
Technical & Product Knowledge
- Possess strong understanding of flexible packaging materials, structures, printing processes, laminates, pouches, rolls, and packaging applications.
- Guide customers on suitable packaging solutions based on product requirements.
- Coordinate with production, design, quality, and planning teams for technical feasibility and execution.
- Understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements in the packaging segment.
Sales Process Development & Coordination
- Help establish and streamline the organization’s sales processes, systems, and customer handling practices for the flexible packaging division.
- Create structured systems for enquiry tracking, quotation management, sampling, follow-ups, order processing, and customer communication.
- Coordinate internally with production, dispatch, purchase, and accounts teams to ensure smooth order execution.
- Support management in developing pricing strategies, customer databases, sales reports, and market intelligence.
- Assist in building SOPs and improving sales operational efficiency for the new business segment.
Commercial & Customer Handling
- Prepare quotations in coordination with costing and management teams.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and commercial agreements with customers.
- Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy customer relationships.
- Handle customer concerns, complaints, and coordination for resolutions professionally.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of flexible printing and packaging industry.
- Understanding of gravure/flexographic printing, laminates, films, pouches, and packaging applications.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to independently manage and streamline sales operations.
- Commercial acumen with customer-focused approach.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working in a growing business environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Packaging, Printing Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in flexible packaging / printing sales.
- Prior experience in handling B2B industrial sales within packaging industry preferred.
- Candidates with experience in setting up sales systems/processes for new business divisions will be highly preferred.
