Job Title: Sales Executive
Position Overview:
The Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales, expanding market presence, and ensuring product availability in the assigned territory. Reporting to the Sales Officer, the role involves daily market visits, customer relationship management, and executing sales strategies to achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Market Expansion
o Identify and acquire new retail outlets, distributors.
o Execute sales strategies to increase product penetration in the assigned market.
o Achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by the reporting manager.
2. Customer Relationship Management
o Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key customers.
o Address customer concerns, ensure timely deliveries, and enhance service levels.
3. Field Sales & Market Visits
o Conduct daily visits to assigned territories to generate orders, boost sales, and monitor High Volume Outlet (HVO) activation, ensuring a minimum of 6 hours of field work per day.
o Ensure placement, merchandising, and execution of trade schemes with branded coolers, stands, and in-store displays.
o Monitor competitor activities and provide market insights.
o Ensure product visibility and availability across retail and wholesale points.
4. Promotional Activities & Branding
o Implement trade promotions and sales campaigns to drive demand.
o Ensure proper placement of branding materials, such as coolers and signages, at retail outlets.
o Support in-store activations and product sampling campaigns.
5. Sales Reporting & Coordination
o Maintain records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and market feedback.
o Coordinate with distributors and supply chain teams to ensure stock availability.
o Maintain accurate sales data and submit reports as per company guidelines; all market working must be entered into the given Sales Force Application (SFA).
o Maintain daily attendance in the Sales Force Application (SFA).
Qualifications & Skills:
· Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
· Experience: 2 - 3 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, beverages, or retail distribution.
· Skills:
o Strong communication and negotiation skills.
o Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
o Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
o Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
o Good market area and route knowledge for effective sales execution.
o Strong selling skills to drive product placement and sales growth.
o Strong relationship-building skills in the market.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
· Sales Target Achievement: Percentage of monthly/quarterly sales targets met.
· Retail and distributor Expansion: Number of new retail outlets and distributors onboarded.
· Retail Engagement: Retail retention and satisfaction scores.
· Market Coverage: Frequency and effectiveness of field visits.
· Sales Reporting Accuracy: Timely and accurate submission of sales data on SFA.
