Role Overview
As a Sales Executive at Search My College, you will be the driving force behind our revenue growth. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with prospective students, parents, and educational institutions. This is a high-impact role specifically within the EdTech domain — we are looking for candidates with proven EdTech sales experience only.
Key Responsibilities
• Generate and qualify leads through outbound calls, digital campaigns, and networking within the EdTech ecosystem.
• Counsel students and parents about college options, courses, and admission processes offered via the Search My College platform.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets in line with company objectives.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with students, parents, and institutional partners.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective sales pitches and promotional materials.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions, follow-ups, and conversions in the CRM system.
• Stay up to date with EdTech trends, competitor platforms, and the Indian higher education landscape.
• Conduct product demonstrations and webinars for prospective students and counselors.
• Actively contribute feedback to improve the platform's sales funnel and user experience.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on sales experience specifically in an EdTech company — this is non-negotiable.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; MBA or relevant post-graduation is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the Indian higher education system, colleges, and admission processes.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English and Hindi.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office, and digital communication platforms.
• Ability to handle rejection positively and maintain a persistent, solution-oriented approach.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with students, parents, and partners.
