About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and technically inclined Sales Executive to promote and develop the market for Ferro Aluminium and metallurgical additive products used in the steel and ferro alloy industries.
The candidate will be responsible for identifying new customers, developing technical-commercial relationships, conducting product trials, and expanding sales across steel plants, foundries, ferro alloy manufacturers, and secondary metallurgy industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand sales of Ferro Aluminium and related metallurgical products.
- Identify and approach potential customers in:
- Steel Plants
- Ferro Alloy Industries
- Foundries
- Secondary Metallurgy Units
- Briquetting & Fluxing Industries
- Generate enquiries and convert them into business opportunities.
- Conduct technical-commercial discussions with customers.
- Coordinate product trials and collect customer feedback.
- Prepare quotations, techno-commercial offers, and follow-up communications.
- Maintain customer relationship and develop long-term business partnerships.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing movements.
- Coordinate with production and logistics teams for timely dispatches.
- Maintain sales reports, customer database, and visit records.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Desired Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
- Graduate/Diploma in:
- Metallurgy
- Mechanical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- B.Tech/B.E.
- MBA Marketing (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience
- 1–5 years experience in:
- Ferro alloys
- Metallurgical products
- Steel industry sales
- Refractory sales
- Industrial raw materials
- Aluminium additives
- Foundry consumables
Freshers with strong communication skills and technical aptitude may also apply.
Required Skills
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Technical understanding of steelmaking/metallurgy preferred
- Ability to travel extensively
- Customer relationship management
- Basic understanding of:
- deoxidizers,
- slag conditioners,
- ferro alloys,
- steelmaking processes
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Email communication
Preferred Industry Exposure
Candidates having exposure to:
- Induction Furnace (IF) steel plants
- Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) plants
- LF refining
- Ferro alloy units
- Refractory industries
- Aluminium recycling industries
will be preferred.
