Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Executive role based in the Greater Coimbatore Area. The Sales Executive will identify and qualify prospective customers, including farmers, agribusinesses, and ecosystem partners, and manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing. Responsibilities include presenting and demonstrating Farmagain’s products and services, conducting farm or client visits, and customizing solution proposals based on customer needs. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring satisfaction, and driving renewals and upsell opportunities. The Sales Executive will also collaborate with agronomy, product, and operations teams to provide feedback from the field, support marketing campaigns, and report on sales performance and pipeline progress.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in B2B or field sales, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing deals.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships, with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
- Comfort using CRM tools, mobile apps, and basic productivity software to manage leads, activities, and reporting.
- Knowledge or strong interest in agriculture, agritech, or allied sectors; experience working with farmers or agri value chains is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in Tamil, English and relevant local languages, with the ability to explain technical solutions in simple terms.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in the field, including frequent travel within the Greater Coimbatore Area and surrounding regions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt in a fast-changing, high-growth environment.
