Business Development / Sales – Employee Benefits (Chennai)
We’re looking for dynamic professionals to drive growth in the SME, GCC, and IT/Tech segments. This is a full‑stack sales role with ownership across prospecting, consultative selling, deal closure, and expansion.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & Pipeline: Identify target accounts, build pipeline via outreach, referrals, and events, and qualify prospects using coverage status and renewal timelines.
- Consultative Selling: Lead discovery meetings, position tech‑enabled broking and wellness solutions, and present tailored proposals to HR, Finance, and C‑suite stakeholders.
- Deal Closure: Drive proposals to signed mandates, negotiate terms, and ensure smooth onboarding handoff to Account Management.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor offerings, insurer appetite, and industry events to sharpen positioning and generate leads.
- Cross‑sell & Expansion: Introduce allied products (GTL, GPA, OPD) and leverage referral networks for growth.
🎯 Requirements
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience in insurance, employee benefits, HR tech, or financial services.
- Proven track record in new business acquisition and meeting sales targets.
- Strong communication skills with comfort engaging HR, Finance, and leadership stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of Group Health Insurance / employee benefits is a plus.
- Self‑starter, CRM‑savvy, and data‑driven in pipeline management.
Preferred:
- Prior experience selling Group Medical Cover (GMC).
- Network within HR/Finance communities in Chennai.
- Exposure to GCC or IT/Tech segments.
- Familiarity with broking operations and IRDAI compliance.
