Job Title: Sales Engineer
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reporting to: Sales Manager / Director / Business Head
Job Overview:
We are looking for a technically sound and result-oriented Sales Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in plumbing materials and/or pumps industry. The role involves technical client interaction, quotation preparation, order follow-ups, territory sales management, and achieving assigned sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate leads through cold calling, site visits, and market networking.
- Handle contractors, builders, consultants, distributors, and project clients within assigned territory.
- Understand technical requirements related to plumbing systems, pumps, piping, and fittings, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Prepare and follow up on techno-commercial quotations until order closure.
- Manage repeat and additional orders with proper documentation.
- Participate in exhibitions and industry events; follow up on generated leads.
- Coordinate with operations, logistics, and accounts for smooth execution and payment follow-ups.
- Maintain client database, sales pipeline, and submit regular sales reports.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
Required Skills:
- Good technical knowledge of plumbing materials, pumps, or allied products
- Ability to understand basic drawings/BOQs
- Strong communication, negotiation, and follow-up skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools
- Willingness to travel within assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- 2–3 years of experience in plumbing materials, pumps, or construction/industrial product sales
- Experience in project sales and techno-commercial negotiations
