Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager based in Jharkhand, India. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities for Microtek’s power backup and solar product range, managing and expanding relationships with distributors, dealers, and key accounts, and achieving assigned sales targets for the territory. The Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager will conduct regular market visits, gather competitor and market intelligence, and support channel partners with product knowledge and promotional activities. Responsibilities also include preparing sales forecasts and reports, coordinating with internal teams for pricing, inventory, and deliveries, and ensuring high standards of customer satisfaction and post-sales support. The role may require frequent travel within the assigned region.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in field sales, territory management, and channel development within FMCG, electrical, power backup, solar, or related industries.
- Strong abilities in negotiation, closing deals, and achieving or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
- Competence in customer relationship management, key account handling, and delivering professional product presentations or demos.
- Comfort using basic digital tools such as MS Office, CRM or sales reporting systems, and mobile applications for daily reporting.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and networking skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; relevant sales certifications are an advantage.
- Experience in power backup, UPS, inverter, electrical, or solar product sales in the Jharkhand region is highly preferred.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field with regular travel as required.
- Ability to communicate in English and local/regional languages to effectively engage customers and partners.
